Gambling Tales of Woe for Big Winners Cynthia Jay

Cynthia Jay was a cocktail waitress in Monte Carlo who won an astronomical $35million on the Megabucks jackpot. It is one of the largest recorded jackpots and it happened with one pull.

She and her soon-to-be husband now had the chance to pursue their dreams which included having enough money to pay for their wedding, buy a house and travel to exotic locations. Life could not get any better. However, 45 days later this all changed.

Cynthia and her sister Lela were driving in a separate car to the rest of their family on a night out in Vegas when their car was hit head-on by a drunk driver whilst they were stopped at a traffic light. Lela was killed instantly whilst Cynthia was paralyzed from the waist down. She has over the years dealt with her hardships courageously and she and Terry remain happily married and she spends the bulk of her time helping others with paralysis and other disabilities.
